Good point. Layoff, injury, and weight were big factors there, though.

Nah. Lots of guys have bitten off more than they could chew. Sam Langford fought Harry Wills. Mickey Walker fought Max Schmeling.

28 pounds of senior citizen loose skin, Only 2 inches taller, Setting a record fighting a Champion 20 years younger than him winning his 1st championship over 20 years before that.

Paquiao just came off a 2 year rest.

4 months from being 43 is not almost 43? Don't be so threatened by this fight.

How many suffered what was one of the most devastating KOs in history and was supposed to be retired by said KO?

Pac is smaller than most current lightweights and he's fighting the biggest welterweight in his prime.

You have to look at the whole story.

It's up there but could name a few things I consider greater. But in recent times (past 20 years) it's definitely right up there, especially if he does manage to win.

Floyd Mayweather (almost 37) beating undefeated Canelo Alvarez (almost 24) is still above that. However if Pacquiao wins we'll have something to discuss.

    Absolute massive cajones from pac.

I fear spence really does some damage especially in the 2nd half of the fight.

But huge credit to pacman for taking the fight when there are mich easier options out there that maybe dont pay as much.

You also have Duran-Barkley and Mantequilla-Monzon. Those are pretty bad ass, but what sets Manny apart is that he doesn't need this. His legacy and financial status is secure and he could still make very good money fighting someone like Mikey and lots more if he went the Youtuber route, so he's doing this just for glory and love for the battle. Doesn't get more badass.
