Yes, but he's on the backburner right now. I don't expect his numbers to be too hot when he returns though.

When Pac gets his confidence back he becomes a force again.

Pac is fine. It's only his detractors who say the same things every thread that disagree. I don't get the people who are so emotional about these dudes that they dedicate so much time to ensure every thread about the guy has a comment about how he sucks in it.

I think the severe JMM knockout he suffered (which many perceived as something that could not be robbed from JMM) and the loss to Mayweather with all his excuses plus the history of various "accusations" made by some and his annoying god stuff have profoundly affected his rep. But on the plus side he's making money and might make more with a rematch so more power to him. In that sense, he and floyd are similar. Not much real respect/losing respect but having financial success. See how that plays out though.

of course he still is. he promised to keep on fighting but he is just recovering from injury at the moment. just wait for his next fight. why not just demand the top contenders at welter to fight each other so the winner will be eligible for the top money fights when pac will become available.

And what's funny is if they saw them in person, they'd completely fanboy and beg for an autograph and picture.

He lost his previous fight, a close fight. When you lose in boxing you become a memory... manny will be back. He's still got too much for most fighters out there.

no one knows yet, but the old man should retire if he's just going to cherry pick.

I'm not sure why anyone would ask if Pacquiao is still a factor in boxing.

You are looking only for speculation.

The only way to answer this based at least somewhat on facts- is by seeing what happens when he steps back in the ring.

I think everyone wonders about that. He could be shot or not, better or worse, impassioned or passionless.
