Calzaghe is natural leftie. There are lots of fighters who fight the 'wrong way' around though; Barrera and de la Hoya are left handed. Hagler was a right hander, as is Winky.
Am surprised at this, given his left hand is his best hand. Oscar is a converted southpaw and it's obvious, because his left hand is clearly the stronger hand. But then again, when you train as much as these guys, it won't really matter.
Think ya got it backwards, b; Pac's a natural southpaw. -------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP6AwknmjkU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0_HOWlGD6o
I honestly don't know that piece of info. But writing with the right hand doesn't mean you're right handed. My cousin writes with his right hand, but does everything else using his left hand, so apart from writing you can safely say he's left handed.
I think the question becomes then, are they still forcing young students to write with the right hand in the philipines (or were they 20 years ago when pac would have been in school)? I know my grandfather was a left hander forced to write right handed but that was in the 1920-1930s in canada. Dont know if they still do that in the philipines in the last 20 years. There are a lot of pinoys on the board Im sure someone would know
No. I don't think so. Atleast where I came from(from the provinces) I haven't seen any school forcing students to write right handed.
interesting to see two converted guys fighting. kind of strange considering manny is known for his big left. oscar is obviously known for his jab and left hook, both of which are thrown by his good arm.
He's left handed. Some parents think that being left handed is not right, so they teach their lefty kids to write and eat right handed. I'm one of those kids. I eat and write righty style, but I do everything else, lefty style.
I wouldnt be surprised, many filipinos converted to southpaw after watching rocky for the first time, which explains why many of their top fighters are southpaws.
