Just want to know if you guys think these 2 fighters are evenly matched or not.. Because I am hearing a lot of negative responses on other sites.. I think Siaca can give Green a good touch match.. Not sure who will win though..Since I haven't seen much of Siaca.
Nope. Siaca hasnt fought a high level of opposition in years. He is coming off a year long layoff. He weighed in for his last fight at 159 pounds. This fight is at cruiserweight so he will have to weigh in 20 pounds heavier then that. Siaca has never fought as heavy as LHW before. His best days are well behind him - not that he was ever that good. Pretty much a joke fight.
Yes... he's younger than Mundine, he's beaten Mundine and the fight will be at a slightly higher weight than both fighters had fought at when tackling Mundine. No... this is not another Mundine thread. Glad I didn't mention his name.
I think Siaca can possibly beat Green on points. Both have fought at super middle most of their careers. and siaca beat mundine who whooped green.. so why can't we see an even contest... Green is also coming back from a 2 year lay off..with only a few rounds under his belt..
He'd be a fair tune-up fight but after all this talk about Hopkins, Tarver, Holyfield and Mike Tyson haha i'd say it's abit of a disappointment for Danny Green.
I reckon it will be not a bad fight, not the best fight but at least its a fight against an ex world champ. A decent keep busy fight. At over 6 foot, he'll make cruiser easier than he would MW. Pretty sure he's fought at LH a few times and even had a title shot at LH?? Will I get it on mainevent -nope. Will I watch it down the pub - yep.
Let me re-watch the last 5 Siaca fights again on youtube before giving me opinion. On paper i think he is, but realistically it's probably a NO!
For the record, Siaca is not a southpaw and he's fought as high as LHW before (check Boxrec, it's back up and running today :yep) - he's actually fought 8 fights at or above the LHW limit of 175lbs - in fact, he's fought as high as 192. He's only been stopped legitimately once (by Mitchell), his stoppage vs Kessler was his corner throwing the towel in, so he has a good chin. He's not the most credible of opponents out there for Green, but he'll do - as I've said elsewhere, at least he's fought on the world stage and held a title before. Green had better not take him lightly or look past him.
....thanks for that Anyway I think its an "ok fight'...its a good filler fight Green is fighting Siaca at the right time...Siaca has been in the ring with some good fighters and had one or 2 HUGE wins :yep Hes a former champ at 168 and has been round 175 at least 10 times He could have gone all the way if he only went southpaw
