especially when he went and fought a fellow pound for pound guy...where mayweather fought a guy that had been knocked down 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years and was an 8-1 favorite over him

Mayweather has always been #1. Even retired. No fighter is on his level.

Pac just lost to a lightweight.. And you still got him p4p #1? Pac got the decision but lost the fight amongst the majority. You don't get outboxed by a lightweight at 144 and maintain p4p status..

for years I considered PBF and Pac 1A and 1B but now I think PBF is P4P number 1. I do not put much weight on record but rather who would win head to head if they were the same size. I would not have any heavy or cruiser close in my top ten. right now my top 5 is

    1) PBF (best fighter today)
    2) Pac (Beats any fighter not named PBF and JMM easily, JMM could not beat the guys he has beaten . . . even at the same weight so I give him the clear edge here)
    3) JMM (three close wars with Pac, better than both Moralas or MAB could do)
    4) Donaire (next inline for the throne)
    5) Serg (to bad he started so late in life . . . could have been an ATG)

Honourable mentions . . . Gamboa, Bute, Ward, Khan, Froch, Bhop,

#1 Floyd- because it looks like no one can beat him at the present moment
#2 JMM- because P4P wise besides Floyd who can beat him?
#3 Pac- because besides Floyd and JMM, I see him as a favorite against anyone else right now

Sorry dude, but P4P doesn't work like that... Imagine all fighters weighed the SAME, how would they match against each other? Using the rule... No way you can have PAC #1 or #2 when he just lost to lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez.

    PBF
    JMM
    Maybe Pac

    That is more accurate.
