it's both. same could be said when de la hoya and jcc sr fought. jcc looked like **** and if you only started watching boxing at that time, you'd probably wonder why sr was so highly regarded. de la hoya looked like a total monster against jcc though it was obvious that his age was a great factor.

pac had a great performance, yes. in fact great is an understatement. they had a great gameplan and he followed it completely, but then will that performance easily beat the dlh version that obliterated vargas? i think not. so it is clearly both. pac did great and dlh was really just a shadow of his former self. still, i think even that version of dlh would have been a handful for other fighters. he was just unlucky that it was pac opposite the ring

Manny is obviously an excellent fighter and deserves his #1 position in the world of boxing, but also consider that Roach had no problem saying on the post-fight interview that he allowed Manny to take the fight because Oscar couldn't pull the trigger anymore.

this basically sums it up... like paq man definitely came into the ring focused and with a great game plan... was out timing oscar (not out speed-ing him) and just completely controlled the rhythm of the fight and beat oscar to the punch.. but there is soooo much oscar could have done to prevent this oscar was just a walking punching bag that didnt impose his will ONE BIT! he didnt use his size to his advantage, walked into corners, barely threw any punches besides some horendous jabs..

oscar was complete and total garbage... if he did any less than what he did on dec 9th he would have thrown 0 punches in my eyes... seriously i mean when a large amount of people actually think oscar purposely threw the fight theres an issue

Come on guy, dlh trained for months and you're saying he can't even position himself! That's absolutely crap! Every time PACMAN wins, his opponent comes out shot or slow or patsy. before the fight, so called experts kept saying PACMAN will be KO in round 1 or so, to the extent that even SR. GAYWEATHER said DLH doesn't need him, a circus, a mismatch. Needless to say DLH can close his eyes and just extend his left hook and PACMAN is history. Get a LIFE will you! :hat

Who thinks Oscar threw the fight? I have only seen a few of those. Most everyone thinks Manny is good and Oscar is shot. I suppose everytime a boxer loses, his fans claim it was a thrown fight or there was something fishy about it. Sure, it may be true sometimes, but in this case, Oscar literally looked like crap and Manny literally looked like a god. And neither of them are good enough actors to pull that off.

When you are as old as Oscar you can't go down 10 lbs and expect to have any energy
