Is he the best model for guys like Canelo and maybe AJ to look on how having more than 1 loss doesn't define the future of your career and how you can still persevere from there.

    Duh.

Knocked out 2X in the lower weights.

Suffered one of the most brutal KOs in boxing history in the twilight of his career and then went on for almost another decade becoming champ a few more times and then beating undefeated Keith Thurman at age 40.

If not for the 2 years of inactivity, he would have beaten Ugas.

But Pac was special. Clenelo ain't.

The really big names in history all took losses in their careers and bounced back, it's the bouncing back that made them great.

I think its a good thing. Time to move on from the floyd zero bs marketing and back to fighting the best opponents and take a loss every now and then.
Like Pac, Oscar, four kings and Ali.

    Ray Robinson post-Maxim/showbiz hiatus.

    Vic Darchinyan. Seriously.

Manny is obviously a great example, though. There is no single one.

Vlad K had a helluva moment of mental strength in the first Peter fight and then went on to dominate for a decade. Big time self belief after his string of losses.

Pacquiao got helped by the fact that he lost early. So once he broke onto the world stage, he had no zero to lose.

I don't ding Canelo's legacy at all for losing last night, because I evaluate fighters based on their wins. So he missed an opportunity to notch a great win, but that's it. Same thing with Joshua losing recently or Loma or whoever else. All of these guys have had great careers and I appreciate that they'll fight the best.
