Is Mares the dirtiest fighter in boxing?

    I've been following boxing for a lot of years and this has to have been one of the worst refereed fights I've ever been witness to. Mares is a dirty fighter and proved it by repeatedly going low. And for him and the ref to deny low blows is ludicrous.

    I'm feeling pretty bad for Agbecko right now to lose his title like that.

    It's a serious question. There are fighters out there who are known as dirty. Ward uses his head too much, Hopkins will try every trick he can think of. Ruiz uses the clinch too much and Wlad can be guilty of the same thing.

    But above all of them, there is one king of being a dirty, cheating piece of ****. Mares.

    He gives Golota the biggest run as one of the dirtiest fighters. Except he GETS AWAY with it!!!!!!! BLANTANTLY!!!! He did it to Vic, and Vic sent a ****ing VIDEOTAPE to showtime showing his low-blow-athon!!! I hate him and will hope he gets KTFO no matter what fight he is in from now on!!

    Yep. Another fight where Mares would have lost without cheating and a corrupt ref.

    I ask again - who can be a fan of that ****?

    If the ref had done his job right that **** would have stopped early.

    That low blow in the 11th was one of the dirtiest punches you'll see. The ref was looking right at it too. This fight stunk of corruption.

    I hadn't even heard of him. I went looking for some more info, and saw a post on another forum (posted by you I think?) saying he had been DQ'd 6 times.

    Yep, that's pretty dirty. Mares should have a DQ for tonight, and probably one for Darchinyan. So he would be up to 2 DQ himself - and I got a feeling he is only getting started.

    The difference is that Lazarte didn't have GBP paying a ref to allow it to happen. I imagine by the end of Mares career, he will have been even dirtier that Lazarte because he will have been allowed to keep doing it.

    Just had a think about this. I consider Mares to be dirtier than PED users.

    PED users cheat to get an advantage in one of the most dangerous sports in the world. They unfairly get an advantage allowing them to hit people in the head and cause potentially lethal injuries.

    Mares does the same thing. By repeatedly smashing his opponents in the groin, he takes away a lot of their strength, speed and stamina. This gives him the same advantage that PEDs do, allowing him to inflict more punishment than he could do fairly. But, it also guarantees testicular damage.

    Doing the maths, Mares is worse than PED users.
