Is Mares the only young fighter that has beaten all type of styles?

Mares is one smartest fighters in boxing. I've always said this. He knows how fight different styles because he plans ahead, unlike Donaire.

He's got a great all-round fighting style. He can box, counter and swarm. He is smart enough to use aggression against better boxers and he's good enough to pull it off. He's also good enough a boxer to outbox guys below his level.

Mares can beat Donaire and Rigo. I'm not saying he will, but he can. He's a very adaptable fighter who can execute gameplans to perfection. If he was at Floyd's weight, he'd give Floyd fits.

 

He would take Salido to school so badly, and he would outwork Garcia and probably stop hiim.

Mares is the real deal ioono why so many people hate on this kid.

 

Rigondeaux is a whole different level than Moreno.

I really like Mares and think he would actually give Rigondeaux his most difficult fight in and around 122lb. He has the ability to crowd around Rigondeaux and make him fight somewhat outside his comfort zone, rough him up and make it dirty, but he's not one dimensional with it, and can time the moments when to pressure Rigo and other times when to wait and not make it say for Rigo to time him.

It's a very interesting fight and one I'd love to see. I'd back Rigondeaux but I would not at all be shocked if Mares beat him

 

Mares deserves to be in the place of Broner in the p4p Ring ranking, period. Its realy a pitty that Rigo - Mares fight won't happen. This is the right time to happen IMO.

 

Unless Rigo goes up in weight, this fight isn't worth taking place anymore. Mares won't go back down in weight. I hope Rigo decides to go up and meet some of the great featherweights right now. Rigo vs. Mikey would be an awesome fight. Plus, Mares really wants the Donaire fight because it is bound to make a lot of money. Rigo doesn't bring much money to the table, and like I said, Mares has been saying it's getting too hard to make weight now.

So many people have been hating on Mares. ****, Donaire should get more hate. The ******* was fighting old, shot fighters to get the "fighter of the year award." Mares is always stepping up in competition. The kid is what boxing is about. None of this Mayweather cherry-picking easy opponents ****.

 

indeed, Mares fought the top-notch guys from his div. He has only 2 names to add on his resume i.e Rigo and Nonito and he can be an ATG f.w IMO. Not to mention that he has a great style of fighting plus a good ring IQ.

 

I might have to rethink my Mares-Garcia pick. Mares is the truth he takes Santa Cruz into deep waters and drowns him. Rigo would be the guy I see beating him his style is a bad match up for mares.

 

Mares style is how you beat Rigo. Nobody is gonna outbox a slick fast southpaw like Rigo. Donaire tried to bur he was afraid of the left hand. Mares is the kinda warrior he doesnt care what you throw at him, hes gonna keep coming after you or get knocked out trying. He lsbalso surprisingly accurate and throws combinations and make it a rough fight. Thats what you need to beat Rigo, intelligent pressure, speed and combinations and make it a rough fight on the inside.
