Is Margarito/Cotto fight of the year candidate?

    Now I think it is but their is also people who are saying that it is not based on the fact that Margarito was never hurt in that fight. Now according to some if a fighter is never hurt in the fight it is not a fight of the year candidate. I think it is bull**** but what are your thoughts?

    I have it as my fight of the year. It was a hyped fight that lived up to the expectations. Most people have the Issy/Raph fight as their foty which is understandable; I have that fight as #2 on my list. I think the Katsidis/Casa fight should also be a strong consideration.

    I agree with everything you said except that Izzy/Rafa is number two. I think that is one of the best fights ever. I cant wait for Diaz vs. Katsidis. :good

    Seriously, Cotto Margo is by far the fight of the year so far though.

    Definately a candidate, but even Lacy/Mendoza had more thrills. I think it's a longshot. There are others.

    The fight would be a logical candidate for fight of the year.

    Margarito is a shoo-in candidate for fighter of the year.

    I haven't seen a fight this year that can surpass the action packed slugfest Vasquez and Marquez gave us. But i think Cotto vs Margarito might take it just because it was more popular.

    Maybe, I think Izzy/Rafa is gonna take the nod because it ended a great trilogy. I think if this fight happened like next year it would have got the nod.
