thats where your wrong, boxing is an unforgiving sport, that damages its participants , even has a name, called pugalistic dimentia, ali, meldrick taylor, bobby chacon and manny others, paid the price for particpating in the sport, you dont owe anybody anything in this sport, and should try to make smart bussiness decisons, to say a guy should not look to make a smart bussiness move is just dumb, dont forget williams lost to carlos quintana over 12 rounds on hbo, and carlos quintana was forced to quit after 5 rounds agaisnt cotto, has williams faced, clotty,cintron and cotto in 3 of his last 4 names opponents, i would give all of those guys a shot to beat williams, williams just recently lost, allthough did avenge it, bussiness is a big part of boxing and in this worst bussiness in the world when you get a shot to be promoted and make money you got for it, in this sport you dont owe anybody anything its to dangerous, margarito should try to secure a fight with oscar

 

You really don't think he should have a shot at a big pay day?? The man has been calling out the best WW for years, and has never gotten a shot. While at the same time he fought who ever was put in front of him (including Williams). You are acting like he is retireing after his next fight. There is plenty of time to fight PW, JC,...

Margarito is definalty the top fighter at WW right now. He is a hardworking man who probably does not have much time left until his chin gives out and definately deserves a big payday. I say he either fights Oscar or Mosley. PBF would be good but i doubt PBF comes out for it.

PW needs to rematch Quintana and prove it was not a fluke.
Cotto will probably need a tune up fight so he is out of the question for now.
Clottey can fight Berto for some money if he wants and also unify to meet Margo later for even more money.

After MArgo does a mega fight then sure he can go ahead and beat PW in the rematch then fight Cotto again if possible and then Clottey.

 

And I don't expect his loyal fans to be objective, but for the media to act a if they are blind to it is what's sickening!

Lets not forget after the PW fight PW did not want to give Margarito a rematch. Margarito said he hopes he would give him one but no PWs camp said he had to work for it. Now that Margarito is more famous PW thinks he can call the shots??? Ha bull****. Rematch Quintana then you get your shot.

 

he already had the courage to fight him though and took on many other tough fights, tall guys like williams are often avoided, if margaritto was that scared of williams he wouldnt of fought him in the first place, you act like he got knocked out,, take on oscar, then williams

Margarito fought men when he was a teenager. Bob Arum basically saved his career by promoting him. No one wanted to fight him when he was on a roll. Mayweather, Mosley, Winky, De la hoya, and Mayorga all ducked him. Yeah, he is getting a free pass.
