I just don't want to see people say that Margarito is 'past it' or 'shot' or 'over the hill' if Cotto manages to demolish him this weekend.

I think so. He hasn't showed any signs of slowing down at all.

yes..He is physically mentally and spiritually more prepared for Miguel Cotto than he has ever been in his entire life. This is Margarito's biggest fight of his life.

Physically, my guess is no. I would say his physical prime was a few years ago.

He's in his prime. but not for to much longer, thats why he really wanted this fight with Cotto now and not later.

He did start early but that has been no indication of his prime ending early. Even if it were that is still about 5 years off. Usually fighters who were pushed that hard don't start showing the signs until about 35.

Don't forget Cotto has been in some wars also. And much more recent than Margarito has.

I think so. He's gotten better after every loss, and has only looked better over the years.

Id say so I actually think hes better now after the Williams lost then he was beforehand. Hes learned to start quicker and we know boxing is alot mental strength and he made that adjustment he knew what he had to do and since then stopped Golden Johnson in 1 which to my knowledge noboddys did Golden in that fashion then was all over Cintron agian.

I disagree with that. Margarito looked as slow as I've ever seen him in his last fight, and Larry Merchant actually raised the question of Margarito being past his prime based on what he was seeing - which to me is almost a coincidence because it was not extremely overt, though I know better. Larry saw signs of wear, he wouldn't have said it unless he had. I agree, I saw it too.
