Is Mosley a great fighter? Not anymore. His win over Vargas was a joke since Vargas was clearly finished and has limited skills anyway, while Collazo is nothing special what-so-ever. Even against Collazo, Mosley definitely looked like his age had caught up with him finally. I did not feel that win was impressive at all.

Cotto is not a "great" fighter. He has never accomplished anything to warrant that title. His best win is against a ringworn Mosley. He also beat a rusty and defeated Judah for his 2nd best win. That makes him a great??? Please, be realistic.

Answer this question since you said Cotto is great: If Cotto retired today, would he get into the Hall of Fame? That is a no, by a mile.

Fighters rarely prove themselves as a great at his age? Isn't he 27, and about to be 28 this year? Hardly a spring chicken.

He has had plenty of time to establish himself as "the man" of a division and has never done so. Cotto has been a professional fighter for 7 and 1/2 years... don't act like he hasn't had plenty of time to establish himself as a great. If he was a "great" fighter as you say, he would have established that already. In comparison to somebody close to his age, Floyd Mayweather has been a professional for 10 years. (Not counting retirement time) That is a lot of catching up to do in 2 years wouldn't you say?

Cotto is an excellent fighter, but will never be regarded as a great when everything is said and done. Too many holes in his game. This will not be his only loss, he will be beat again, guaranteed.

No. P4P Hagler would destroy Margarito every day of the week.

No doubt. No disagreement there. However 35 is a ways off.

What I was talking of is that when a guy goes before his time, usually before that 35 mark. When that happens its usually a guy who has severely abused his mental capacity for pain and his physical capacity for damage. Alot of it is mental withdrawl as they start to become punch shy and end up getting hit in ways they are simply unprepared for.

As far as I know, Margarito has not made any reports of having a concussion. While it's no guarantee he hasn't, it doesn't seem to indicate otherwise.

This is what I was looking for.

    BEST quote available.

You gay asses wouldn't give Hagler credit either.

Amsterdam would be like, "Hagler is nothing but a come foward fighter with a sloppy defense. He has a good chin and a high workrate, that is all."

Pimp C would be an SRL fan.

Fitzgerald would have sex with dudes that looked like SRL.

Sweat Pea would still be workin in the gay porn industry.

This type of **** irritates me to no end. Comparing a good fighter, not great, but just good, to an AMAZING fighter.

    Enough.

No way in hell. I don't see anything in common with the Marvelous one.

Margo is a good fighter. Hagler is a legend.

Amsterdam on Hagler if this was the 70's.

"Hagler is just a come foward brawler with bad footwork and a leaky defense. His chin is his only saving grace. Other than that, his power is vastly overrated, and his skills are amateur."

Bull**** knucklehead, the man had incredible skills, timing and all of his work was precise and calculated. I always give credit to precise pressure fighters, Hagler was just that.

Just because I don't prefer sloppy **** like Pavlik or Margarito, doesn't mean I didn't give big credit to even Juan Diaz for his overall skills as a pressure technition, even though he has no power.

Stop misreading things. Hagler was an amazing fighter, with obvious great footwork, movement, chin, stamina, solid defensive prowess, awesome timing, inside and outside skill and fluidity under a precise offensive assault.

Hey Capfunds, you do realize that Hagler was a superbly skilled boxer-puncher throughout the majority of his career up until the end when his physical skills had deteriorated, don't you? He only became a brawler in his late career fights against the likes of Mugabi, Hearns(for stylistic reasons), and Leonard(again for stylistic reasons).

You placing Hagler in the kind of light you're placing him in not only shows your gayness, but also complete lack of knowledge of boxing. You are truly a gay, ****ing moron.

    Capfunds:

Margarito at the top of the division.

    Pavlik middleweight champ.

    Berto, rising superstar.

    Amsterdam:

    Calzaghe ducking Pavlik.

Mijares will be beat by Donaire.

Oh, so you know so much.

That's why you can't fight and have a limp gay wrist.

Even against Mugabi, Hagler spent a good deal of it boxing and jabbing Mugabi silly.
