cotto was outpointing margo in the 1st fight but was overwhelmed by the pressure and onslaght of the tijuana tornado.

if cottos gonna beat margo he's gotta go to the body alot more, clintch when neccessary, & work more on his lateral movement and stamina.
so with that said, i dont think he could do it..

There is no such thing as "his offense is his defense". To even take that thought in is boxing blastphemy. You need defense to survive in this sport. All the offense in the world can't protect or hide your chin.

What about when Oscar is punching him in the face and he doesn't like it? Oscar would be the biggest fighter Cotto has ever stepped into the ring with, and he is a far more accurate puncher than Margarito. Cotto didn't throw at all to the body against Margo and although Oscar cannot apply that level of pressure he still has the pop to hurt Cotto and earn his respect. Smaller guys than Oscar have badly hurt Cotto.

It certainly wouldn't be an easy fight for Cotto. Also, whocares about the Hopkins loss? That version of Hopkins would have stopped Cotto in 1. Its a pretty useless comparison considering he is on a much higher level than Cotto, and he also sits about 20 pounds north of him. Cotto is trapped in the bad situation of being a small welter, and too big for Jr welter, any man as big as Oscar with decent skill is going to give him a genuine fight.

 

DLH has a suspect chin...he's never really been hit flush before

The few fighters that land bombs on DLH usually get him to land on his ass
