He got beat down and destroyed ....he looked like a worn out trial horse.

Is his confidence shot as a fighter?

Is his myth exposed that he has the granite impervious chin?

Did Cotto take a lot out of him where he was at his peak and now on
the wrong side of the hill and on his way down?

Is the discovery on plaster of paris in his wraps that were wet to harden
during the fight ( you know about when he cranks it up in the mid rounds )

I think he is done....the last thing he wants to do is face Cotto in June.
Thats why he took such a long layoff and cancelled his fight in the Fall of
    last 2008.
Fighters such as Margie can show the ill effects of eating leather for a defense...one fight to tne next. (not everyone is like Gatti )

Not a hater thread just want to know your thoughts.

How many more of these kind of threads will be posted this week? Come on people, styles make fights. This fight was no different the Pavliks last fight and he aint shot. You need to except that fighters will lose fights, ok.

Once a fighter with an iron chin gets knocked out, they usually never have the same punch resistance as they did before. He either overtrained, or is just shot. I think he was a bit drained, so a move to light-middleweight might be what he needs to get his career back on track.

I think we are beginning to see the mileage on Margarito. The wraps issue leaves a big question mark and bitter taste in everyone's mouth. In addition, I mentioned this on the weigh-in thread, Margarito looked kind of skinnier and more drained than usual, I am not sure what exactly contributed to his inability to take Mosley's shots as he had taken many others. Take nothing away from Mosley, he showed to have great POWER for his size, and he deserves all the credit, but I can't see him stopping the same version that faced Cotto that night.
I also found it strange when he had postponed the fight in 2008, made me wonder if he really felt the effects of the Cotto fight.

mosley's body shots were the key. cotto did nothing to the body. when u get hit to the body and head, it takes a lot more out of you. margarito was not shot at all

I've been saying for months that Margo' style doesn't have a long shelf life. Paul Williams would have killed him if they would have fought again.

I don't know if anyone else observed at the weigh-in, right after the weigh-in when Margarito stepped off the scale to be exact, during during the interview, Margarito was drinking out of what looked like a Pedialyte bottle. That is usually used to rehydrate for people who have been vomiting or have diarrhea or anything that would cause dehydration.
