I doubt he's the only one, he just has the biggest stage. There are a number of horrible human beings that go into boxing. Frankly, a sport where you can legally beat the crap out of another guy will lure in some pretty rotten people. Some people who, as far as I can tell are just bad or mean human beings: Edwin Valero, Ricardo Mayorga, Travis Simms, Daiki Kameda, Masamori Tokuyama, Vic Darchinyan, Brandon Rios, Juergen Braehmer, Khoren Gevor, James Butler, Alexander Abraham, Tony Ayala, etc. Very few of these guys become big stars, even if they have the talent for it, and the ones who do tend to disappear quickly once their true selves are exposed..

Some others box to get away from their demons or their pasts, like Tyson, Tapia, Vernon Paris, Jason Litzau, Edison Miranda, Fernando Angulo, Kassim Ouma, etc., and those guys are a lot more likely to become stars.

Fortunately, starmaking is a process where people get exposed to someone's personality, so usually the legitimately bad people never become stars. Tyson might have been the closest, but at this point I think he's proved that deep down he's a good guy who was just struggling with some demons and probably some mental illness that is now under control.

 

Margo is no G. He is a broken down punching bag who had to wear plaster wraps to have any sort of success in boxing.

 

Panama Lewis is more "G", he has even indirectly trained some name fighters in the recent years.
