defense could be better, a bit too flat footed.

I'm starting to think pac should hold off on cotto and marg.....

He should wait to see if marquez wins and then fight a 3rd time in november.

Actually, I think he started out being very offensive, then as he got chiselled by Berenstein became a Counter Punching Wizard, who then changed back to an agressor.

    Maybe, but at 140lbs?

Marquez v Pacquiao 3 would definitely have a lot more meaning to it than Cotto again, and Margarito outside the US.

    Yeah, I was thinking 140, or a catchweight 138ish???

Unless marquez wants a shot at the 140 belt.

He has a problem making definitive offense against runners or defensive fighters. Norwood and John are examples where he couldn't secure enough activity as a lead offensive fighter in a dominant fashion and was not given the decision, even though many and myself thought he won the fight.

His defense, as of late, has slipped, as he holds his hands a bit low and outward instead of close in tight against the body and chin, but it wasn't that much of a problem when he was younger and sharper.

He seems to have good balance in stance but gets caught lunging. He reaches out a lot and catches fighters who don't expect him to land from that distance, but it works against him when he gets shot right back and knocked down. It's happened quite a lot.

No, no fighter is perfect overall. I still am in the process of seeing more Marquez because most of what I saw from him is past-prime. His combination punching is probably perfect though. It's like good poetry.

138 seems fairly reasonable, as long as Pacquiao can still make it. I really hope Marquez looks impressive against Diaz...blows him away and avoids the torrid early rounds from the first bout.

Man, I am actually excited about that idea.

Maybe they could, depending on how tough this fight is, get marquez/pac 3 in nov/dec.....

That would be a great replacement for Mayweather Pacquiao (if it's not happening??...havn't been following).

You can almost guarantee it will be an all out war for how long it goes...I'm guessing it would go the 12 with neither giving an edge.

I would say that he's a slow starter and also that he doesn't like to get off first.

:huh Most counterpunchers don't. That's kind of the point.
