is Marquez a tougher opponent than Maidina for Amir Khan?

Yes Marquez is. Maidana has a punchers chance, that's it. He got be by Andreas Kotenlik - a limited fighter who Khan beat.

Marquez is a skilled warrior who could be a serious threat to Khan and his title. And let's face it, Khan is no Mayweather, but being a Khan fan myself, I hope he can use Mayweather's blueprints in the same way and come out victorious :)

stlye makes fights. Maidina would flatten khan if he touches him well JMM have to probably touch him quite often.

CMON NOW ARE WE REALLY TRYING TO QUESTION WETHER THE #2 FIGHTER IN THE WORLD REGARDLESS OF WEIGHT, SHOULD BE COMPARED TO MAIDINA WHO IS VERY STRONG BUT NOT NEARLY AS GOOD OF A "BOXER" AS JMM...

Marquez even looked a bit slow and shitty on his feet against Juan Diaz at 135lbs. Hes way out of his element at 140 and even more pathetic at 147 where he fought Mayweather lol. JMM needs to be at 135lbs if he wants to rekindle his career. JMM has punching power though don't get it twisted, its just sluggish hand speed that kills him. If he cought Khan with a few clean connects I think he'd make his eyes a little glassy.

Maidana is living off the ortiz fight, where he was down 3 times in the first round, ortiz looked like he'd given up at the end, before this maidana was beaten by kotelnik so i think khan should get more credit for taking the marquez fight who is p4p top ten

Erm, it depends on how Marquez deals with fighting up at 140. If he handles it as well as he did 135 (which is unlikely), then I actually favour him to win big time against Khan. But either way, he's still a better fighter than Maidana, and a bigger threat to Khan.

The reason being, Maidana has only one realistic way of beating Khan, and that's by knockout only. He is very susceptible to being outboxed should Khan follow his gameplan perfectly. Marquez on the other hand, can beat Khan by both outpointing him and stopping him. His counterpunching and accurate shots means he doesn't necessarily need Maidana's knockout power to stop Khan, as the accumulation of shots will be damaging enough.

    ^^ Yep

JMM is the wiley veteran. You can never count out the old guy because he's been thru wars and fought the best. The dude can fight, rain or shine. I don't see Khan being on the same trajectory that Manny was, so it'll be a close fight imo.
