Marquez is one of the best fighters to ever lace them up. He's fought and beat championship level and HOF level comp across 5 divisions. He's picked up some losses along the way, but only one guy made it look easy. I wouldn't bet on Broner making easy work of Marquez, but anything is possible. Marquez is 40 years old.
God no! Its a fact, FACT, that Broner hasnt fought anyone anywhere near to Marquez in terms of skill. I am not going to say Marquez wins with ease because until we see Broner step up a level we really wont know, but i am leaning towards Marquez in this one. I cant see the fight happening, but i would have so much interest in it if it did.
There isn't a single poster here who seriously thinks Marquez is easy work for anyone except Floyd. Dude is a HoFer and ATG. I think he gives a still growing Broner a boxing lesson.
Also for some reason i see their styles pairing up quite well. I see a half chess match, half brawl kind of fight playing out, in true marquez fashion.

Broner can't be too aggresive if he fights Marquez. If he sits back and uses his size and reach and speed I think he could beat Marquez.
Broner doesn't have the skills that Floyd does to outbox JMM. Floyd has that gliding footwork and overall smarts, reach and height and superior defense that made JMM not land anything on Floyd. Broner does not have a gliding fast and quick footwork, he doesn't have the reach and height advantage that Floyd had vs JMM. Only broner have that is similar with Floyd is that philly shell defense.
I'd love to see Broner get schooled by JMM. Marquez would be killing him with counterpunches and getting on the inside ripping him apart while just standing there shaking his head before getting ktfo.
