is marquez,mayweather's version of a tuneup fight?

moving up has great disadvantages...thats why every time a fighter moves up and fight a great fighter, they are always questioned...would he retain his speed?would he carry his power?and as of now, all that advantages, points to pbf...plus the height and reach advantages...even in the skill level, points to pbf...

plus going up 2weight classes...remember how Pac-DLH fight got criticized?

 

Criticized by those who are single minded, and look what happened in that fight a dehydrated DLH got beaten. I didnt see many people questioning all the things Floyd had to concede to fight DLH.

Height and reach are what comes with boxing, good boxers nullify these problems they face. If JMM is that good he will have no problem performing at WW like Pacquaio, we shall see on fight night. If JMM comes in looking slow and slobbish and gets brutally KO'd early on then ill bump this thread and say you was right.

Bruseless wasn't a tune up he was for the WBC #1 spot just like Corley was before him. A tune up was Sharmba Mitchell in his first fight at Welter when Zab was obligated to fight his WBC mandatory Baldomir.

People are considering Marquez a tune up now and I don't see it that way, Marquez is NOT a guy to look at as a tune up. Those same people, who obviously never learn and still fall in the noob category regardless of what happens, are the EXACT SAME people who thought Pacquiao was a tune up for DLH before he fights Cotto, a rematch with Mayweather, Margarito or Hatton. Guys like Pacman and Marquez who are ranked #1 P4P and #2 P4P are no tune ups for NOBODY regardless of weight or whatever. Marquez won't move up to make this fight when he still has good options at lightweight if he knew he has no chance.
