We'll know next time he fights at his weight.

I wouldn't say he took a "beating" against Floyd. That's a bit on an over-exaggeration.... and as far as being shot, only watching him fight again would answer that question.

I honestly doubt it. I think JMM-Juan Diaz II will be epic this time! Can't wait.

don't think so. his fight with floyd was not something you would consider a career ending fight.

Nope, he has slowed down a bit due to the weight gain but the chin is the same, power is awesome, and legs are still holding on. I bet if he was still fighting at 130 he'd be unstopable right now.

I think he's "borderline" shot, but I'm not basing it on much other than 1/2 the Diaz fight and the Floyd fight.. but it's a pretty big suspicion.

No, but he isn't getting any better and he is at the stage where things may go south for him.

One thing is for sure, the weight gain hasn't done his speed any good over the years. Each any every divisions he's gone up since 126 has slowed him down in incriments... and certainly the jump to welterweight slowed him down to almost a comical extent.

Let's just hope that once he slims back down in weight he'll be at the very least as fast as he was for the 1st Diaz match.

He was well out of league fighting floyd ...he will destroy Diaz again.

Going up in weight for these 2 fighters has not been good.

He's no where near shot. Do people even know what that word means? Mike Tyson in 2006 was shot. Marquez isn't even close.

I think Marquez is overrated. Just because you fight great fighters when they are done with that weight, does not make him great.

No. he's not. Clearly he doesn't belong in the WW div. but he's still a dangerous fighter @ 135. A JMM/Diaz rematch would be a great fight and I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome would be different this time around. If Diaz wins, then we're definitely looking @ a trilogy here.
