Floyd is the best fighter that Marquez has ever faced ...

Marquez isn't the best counter puncher that Floyd has ever faced ... he doesn't pose anything different than the other 39 opponents that fell victim ...

The thing that Floyd would have to worry about with Marquez is nothing !!

Floyd always makes his opponents fight his fight, he knows when and how to adjust, making it very difficult for his opponents through 12 rounds ... I can tell you this ... Floyd is the best body puncher that Marquez has faced and he also is the best one punch - power puncher that Marquez has faced. You may say Floyd doesn't have power, but enough of those pot shots ... Marquez will have no choice but to fold.

I have to agree with you here Fitz, the only type of fighter I can see Floyd losing to is a fighter who has some big time physical attributes over Floyd with a great jab, timing, defense like a Vernon Forrest or someone like that.

Benny I agree with you for the most part, but that fighter isn't Vernon Forrest, its that man Paul Williams ...

    can anyone say:

    Modern day Leonard vs Hearns?

Also not to forget, Marquez is possibly the most precise puncher Mayweather has ever fought, and the smartest boxer also in a ring, capable of adapting to almost any circumstance.

Yeah and thats the truth about Hearns ... lot of power, but questionable endurance + stamina + chin ... thin wirey frame, doesn't take body punches well ...

Williams has a high motor ... i'm not saying higher than Hearns or that he can beat Floyd but I think that he possesses a style that could be more difficult for Floyd than any of the 40 opponents ...

The best active counter puncher is Manny Pacquiao ... he counters everything ... and he does it very quickly.

Other than him, I would give it to Mayweather but his rankings won't come into play until he knocks out Marquez.

^ i agree w/ most of the posters here that jmm is the best counter puncher today...
pac counter punches but i dont categorize him as a counter puncher because he is the agressor most of the time.

Castillo beat the crap out of Void, but Void has his judges to protect him.
