If the opportunity shows itself then I say throw him in. He is a great little fighter and even if he loses ( so long as he doesn't take a beating) it will be a good learning experience. Too many fighters these days are more concerned about their unbeaten record rather than trying to achieve. It may be too soon, I don't know, but I suspect that he would put up a decent performance...he is 27 so needs to be moving along.

What do you think though Paddy?

Give him a couple more fights or throw him in right now?

Y'know how boxing is: today its a done deal with a contract waiting to be signed, 2moro that contract is just dust flying about in the wind.

Personally I think Lindsay probably wouldn't be ready and he'd get stopped by body shots from Cruz. Appleby was causing Lindsay problems to the body in their fight, despite Lindsay's success at landing so cleanly on the Scot.

However with the way Setanta has gone Lindsay's career has stalled a bit and I think why the **** not ?. He's 27, he may not be ready now but then again he may never be ready and while the opportunity is there he may aswell go for it.

Lindsay should be able to cause Cruz problems with his clean accurate punches, I don't think it'd be enough but Martin's a skilled operator and it's worth a craic.

it would be waste of a title tilt if he takes th eguy now....even holding a belt at such an early stage...having problems with some domestic opposition isnt a good sign for the long top ledge fighters
