Is Martinez Hurting Himself By Continuing at 160 If He Wants Mayweather?

So, he's a FAKE ass champion that's scared to fight REAL JMW, right?

Despite the fact that Cotto was drained at 147, so Cotto must be a HUGE JR. Middleweight. He must be ****IN GIANT.

And Mayweather was the same size, so how can this be?

So either Mayweather stays at 154 and defends his title after fighting a HUGE Jr. Middleweight or you admit he's a FAKE ASS CHAMPION.

If that's the case, he needs to go to 147 and fight Pacquaio.

THE BEST SHOULD FIGHT THE BEST.

Pacquaio is the BEST at 147 and below. Martinez is the BEST at 154 and above.

Pacquaio and Martinez have done enough to where they don't need to EARN a fight. Their PFP ranking and former accomplishments are ENOUGH to EARN them a fight.

That and those are the two fights FANS want the most.

If Mayweather is scared to fight them, ADMIT IT.

    Don't make excuses.

How could he be a "TINY" jr. middleweight when he appeared to be the same size as Cotto who is a HUGE Jr. Middleweight that would DIE if he fought at 147.

Cotto was a ****in GIANT and Mayweather was the same size.

Martinez has been earning his shot for a long ass time too, same with Pacquaio.

Man, shut the **** up about this earning your shot bull****.

How the **** did Ortiz earn his shot?

And Martinez is WILLING to GO DOWN. Nobody is asking Floyd to MOVE UP.

And for someone that says Mayweather is a TINY fighter, isn't it ironic to ask Martinez who is a small middlweight to go all the way up to 168 against a guy who I think is fighting Dawson at 175?

Doesn't that sound DUMB AS HELL to you?

Ortiz beat a champion in the division, without a catchweight, just beat him fair and square.

Martinez needs to move down and get a fight with the other champions and press the issue for a Mayweather fight. That's how the others have done it. Knocking out eurobums is not going to get him a fight.

Man, just shut the **** up.

Who the **** has Berto beat? People could easily call him an Ameribum.

He's a STERIOD mother ****er anyway with tainted wins.

He was a fake ass champion.

THE BEST SHOULD FIGHT THE BEST.

    Who should Mayweather fight.

    YOU TELL ME.

I'd like to see Floyd either unify 154 or 147.

    That didn't answer the question.

There are a lot of good champs around his weight. He can unify with Canelo or Pacquiao when he gets out.

only way i'd give lil floyd credit was if serg was at 160, 154 he'd be drained

lil floyd won't have to come in at 160 but still would beat serg

smaller great guy beats a bigger good guy

You call Chavez one of the "best" at MW? :patsch

Who have Pirog and GGG beaten that makes them the "best"? Pirog beat a PROSPECT in Jacobs and GGG.....:? ****, I can totaly agree with you if atleast Pirog had GGG on his resume or viceversa, to make a case as to claim on been one of the "best". Atleast Chavez has Zbik, who is nothing special, on his resume and that looks much better than what Pirog and GGG have on their resume.

Martinez will have one foot in the grave before Mayweather gives him a fight at 154. Martinez is fine at 160 right now. If I were him I'd beat Chavez Jr. (this is one of the greatest wins of your career because after you beat him, this guy will have many years left to dominate the sport, pick up victories, title, etc and your name is on his first loss).
Then drop to 154 where the $ is at. Fight a HBO Hype Job like Kirkland. 1 or 2 fights against decent names, Martinez would be like 40, and then Mayweather may be willing to fight him (after declining himself), and I think if past prime Mayweather faces past prime Martinez... Martinez hits harder obviously, takes a good punch, seems more determined in troubled times, adjusts just as well as Mayweather, and hand speed around the same. I'd go with past prime Martinez any day of the week, and make no mistake... No way does he fight Martinez if he thinks he isn't past prime. Martinez is a dangerous fight for anybody.

If Barker and Macklin are bums then that doesn't say much for Sergio! He struggled with these guys.

Martinez could move up to 168 and fight bute or Ward, those would be awesome fights.
