Matthysse is the new Joan Guzman of this forum.

Excuses will abound when he loses.

Peterson has several faucets to his skill sets, he can pressure, box, doesn't matter.

Why is PEDerson not putting up his IBF world title? Theres no reason for a catchweight in this.

The scumbag is a massive *****, he must be off the drugs in this one and is afraid he will get his ass handed to him.

i think there's a good reason for this. I remember schaeffer explaining it, something to do with IBF not allowing this fight, so by making it 141, then the fight can go ahead.

I can't remember the exact reason, but the only way this fight can be made is if it doesn't take place at 140.

Yep, the IBF doesn't like unification fights. So fighting above the limit keeps this an exhibition match for their standings. Pretty stupid, I know.

The interim title is aload of **** anyway. Mathyyse is not a champion so I dont know what hes upto.

PEDerson will be facing the winner of the IBF Eliminator between Dierry Jean and Pendarvis which is on this friday night.

The IBF rankings are a complete joke.

Peterson's one of the shadiest *******s in boxing, but he's also a smart, well rounded fighter. Matthysse can be outboxed, it was done before by a faded Judah and it'll be done again. As much as I want Lucas to win and win big, I have a sinking feeling Lamont will pull this one out of his steroid injected ass.

How can it be a unification fight. Garica is the WBC champ. Lucas just a paper champ.

Matthysse has improved from the Judah fight.

Its funny how people love to say how green Bhop was when he fought Jones, yet don't bat an eyelid at how inexperienced Matthysse was at the top levels of the sport when he went in against Zab. Now, imo, that shouldn't have mattered, a supposed monster that Lucas is supposed to be, should get the job done against someone not as durable as Judah. But the truth is Lucas was terribly green for that fight. He has adjusted to the world scene since then and has improved himself.

The thing is, I don't think that will be enough come Saturday. I would love for him to prove me wrong, I will be rooting hard for a Matthysse victory come fight time, but I think Peterson is due for the W, whether its fair or not.

Lastly, there will be no exposing done here at all. A fighter isn't 'exposed' every time he loses. Peterson is a top tier fighter and matches up well with Matthysse. As long as its a competitive fight, there will be no 'exposing' here. Just two good fighters with one having to lose.

Ahhh...the pre-emptive "robbery" card, that's the warrior spirit! Either way I think Peterson outclasses Lucas, but it will be a fun fight.
