Bunce bothered me with his hype of Jennings when he kept trying to manufacture reasoning on why Jennings could pull off an upset against Cotto, but he was absolutely correct in his assessment of Kellerman in his interview with John, or lack there of.

Kellerman has been analyzing boxing on television since he was 16 years old. By the time he graduated from the esteemed Columbia University, he had a full-time boxing analyst gig on ESPN. A few years later, he's on the flagship network for boxing in the WORLD. That's what I call working your way up from the top.

Meanwhile, Bunce is just a fat mess who's accomplished nothing compared with Max. He's one of those pricks who loves to criticize the successful because in reality, Max represents everything Bunce wishes he had.

    LOL, nice.

I've never been a fan of Kellerman, even in his days with ESPN. I agree with Bunce in regards to interview.

    Here it is BTW:

Bunce has grown up in british boxing. He's a former amateur boxer and has contacts going back over 20 years in the game. He's appeared on all the main British TV channels who have covered boxing over the years I think and in the top broadsheet and tabloid newspapers and he has been attending small hall and big fights for radio, TV and probably just for his own enjoyment for many years.

Kellerman, as has been pointed out, doesn't have any substantial background in boxing apart from his dad's legacy. Bunce doesn't have any delusions of going to America and taking over from Merchant I would think, as he's just-about the most respected boxing journalist in Britain right now and I'm sure that he's earning a comfortable living and he has a show where he can say pretty much whatever he wants and I'd bet that he's significantly more knowledgable then Kellerman.

And, just because the US TV market is obviously much larger then any other, with more money involved and greater coverage, although that would make it more important then any other market, it doesn't automatically make it better. The quality of many other analysts who work in smaller markets or for smaller companies, exceeds the quality of Kellerman for the most part and Bunce's audience figures and pay-check are less, but I would hazard that he's more knowledgable, of a higher quality and more respected by boxers who have met the both of them.

What about Kellerman's dad's legacy? What legacy? His dad was a shrink. It's not like his dad was some big shot television executive. Max had to work his way up the hard way -- meanwhile, Bunce is lucky that any television station even hired him. He's a guy who loves the sound of his own voice even though others don't (except for his European nuthuggers). Bunce is a joke of a commentator who will never escape the bubble that he's in right now at Setanta.

The charismatic exuberance that Max displays each time he commentates is a breath of fresh air from the cynical Merchant. That's why HBO hired him in the first place -- Max is ushering in fans from a younger demography. Max's commentating presence has the ability to captivate viewers, and that's why he's making the big bucks while Bunce is in the middle of nowhere, commentating on irrelevant British undercard fights.

Max is great,,,,,,He knows boxing inside an out, sure he loyal to USA boxer, but this is a USA network, i seen Max more fair in his comtentary then UK ref are in the ring,,,,take the calaghe fight with jones an hopkins, guys he both loves (jones an hopkins), in the end of those fights he supported calzahe as victor,,,,,I sure if hopkins was a UK fighter an calzaghe was american, those british anouncers would of praised hopkins,,,,i remember that when barrett put hayes down, they called a knock down a slip, just like the ref.......Bias, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha......

Every thing about this post seems wrong to me. Because it is Merchant that " sucks Wlads dick " You know know, that whole ' big beautiful man ' thing .

Kellerman's favorite sport is boxing , why hate the enthusiast? Max loves the sport more than ANY of those guys :deal
