Of course, but hatton is a very good win nontheless... he was king at mayweathers old division, and that was a fight that needed to be made.

And beating mosley even at this stage is damn impressive.

I know...and I'm not trying to be an ass about it.

Its just as a fan I'd rather see a better prepared Cotto than where he's at right now - I think him facing a few tough opponents could make him more ring ready, but I still don't think it'll be enough.

Do you know the kind of **** that was talked about the greats that you mentioned in your opening post when they were still fighting? Ali was called a runner, people said that he just danced around the ring. He had life and death fights with fighters that were average at best.

Leanord got horrible critisism. People said that he was scared to rematch Duran and Hearns after he beat them and he waited till they were ripe for the taking before granting them long overdue rematches. See how you discredited DLH as being way past his prime (not that I really disagree with that) people said the same thing about Hagler when Leanord fought him.

Fighters never get the respect that they deserve when they are still fighting beacuse the fans always want more out of them. Once the gloves are hung up and the name is in the HOF with all those victims on there Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, ricky hatton, Oscar Delahoya, Zab Judah etc. Mayweather will get his due respect.

30 Casamayor, Freitas 35- ducked Spadafora, 40 Tszyu.

I'll give him 40, after hatton. Yet I tire of reasons why Floyd cant clean a division:-(

After all the water under the bridge and the table set at 147( A legendary Division) if he cant do it this time?

His legacy will suffer LONG AND HARD. there is NO EXCUSES about Cotto and whoever's the next best remaining(likely Quintana), should be on the next.

I mean for all they say its soooooooooooooo EASY?

    They make it sooooooooooooooooooooooooo Hard!!

History will not remember the countless discussion's we have now about WW.

They will remember seeing one of the best, and most skilled fighters in the boxing game.....true story.

i've never said Floyd didnt fight anyone nor accomplish nothing. yes he's a good fighter but his RECORD ****ing pales in comparison to SRL, SRR, Hearns etc. Know why they got respect in the long run even with losses? BECAUSE THEY FACED THE CHALLENGES.

HE WONT BE REMEMBERED ON THAT LEVEL UNLESS HE MAKES A STATEMENT AT 147:nono

    He wont be remembered?

Funny how all the talk constantly includes him in the likes of the very fighters you just named. We all want to see the matchups, in time they should happen....either way....if PBF walked away right now he would still go down as a great fighter, you cant take it away from him - regardless of how much you dislike him, or his resume....he'll still be there. :thumbsup

The point is floyd hasnt ever made the effort. Casa would have fought him and back then? Who knows, Freitas might have, he did have a belt at the same time.

Lennox and Mike fought despite HBO/SHO so there's a will there's a way. Team hatton made it easier.

He's never unified anything, never fought all the best guy's, and flat out ducked a guy 95% think he'd beat, easy:-(

That will go away IF HE MAKES THE RIGHT STATEMENT AT 147:yep It will be FOREVER AMPLIFIED if he doesnt:good

That's all it is and nothing more. Mayweather in time goes down as one of the greatest fighters who ever lived.
