Why hasn't anybody on this thread mentioned the fact that Hatton was very badly buzzed by Luis Collazo who is a very average puncher and by Juan Lazcano who is a career LW and not exactly a KO artist either (a decent puncher, but no more)?

And i do agree that Mayweather's power is sometimes underrated, i mean, there are people who say he really can't punch worth ****, and that's not true.
But c'mon now, nobody serious really believes he can stop Margarito, do they?
Margarito has every bit the concrete chin Baldomir has, and he's much, much harder to fight than Baldo.
    Let's get serious.

Most people underrate his power at the higher weights and overrate his power at the lower weights. He's never been a big puncher. However, he wasn't as big of a puncher as people make him out to be when he was at 130. He's also a bigger puncher than people give him credit for at 140 and 147.

Floyd can knock out Margaritto,no disrespect to Cotto.

    Yeah.

    I`m still laughing.

Great post, I've been thinking about this since the Cotto Margo match. Some people seem to be missing the point here, it does not matter whether he hits hard because his technique, accuracy, balance and speed is superior rather than because he has brute strength, what matters is that HE HITS HARD.

He would punish Margarito, big time.

Margo has been hit with flush shots from P4P punchers like Cintron and heavy handed Cotto so let's be realistic here. He would laugh at the shots Mayweather would land much like Baldomir did in their fight.

The better question is will PBF break both his fragile hands before the 6th?

I agree. However partially the reason PBF doesnt get as much credit for his power at 140-147 is he didnt bother to use it but on rare occasions as opposed to his campaign of domination at 130-135

And Chibuku needs a full frontal labotomy

Floyd cant KO margarito. Maybe stop him on a cut possibly. But you need a super power punch like tito trinidad to knockout margarito. Although Clottey buzzed him a few times.

Hatton's chin is poor at Welterweight.

Decent power but there are things that should be taken into consideration.

Kostya Tszyu is a great puncher but needs room, like Cintron, to be effective with it. When he is being pushed back, like Hatton did and like Margarito did to Cintron, and kept off balance, his punches lose steam. So, Mayweather, better at fighting off of the backfoot than Tszyu, was able to counter Hatton coming in.

How can people pretend that Hatton isnt a wrestler with boxing gloves on?
When was the last time Ricky Hatton landed a meaningful punch that wasnt out of a clinch?

When was the last time Ricky Hatton won a fight using even mediocre boxing skills?

When was the last time you saw Ricky Hatton do anything but clinch, hold, clinch, hold, clinch, hold?

When was the last time people gravitated to a fighter mainly because of how he is out of the ring ("He drinks, eats fried food, and is just one of the mates")?

Now ask yourself aloud the question "How could so many dumb ****s live on one relatively small island?"

mayweather power is underrated but his heart is 10x more underrated, I watched this documentary and his trainer said he has never seen anybody push the limits as feriouciously and as often as money may and he also mentioned he was the trianer for many fighters at one point or another including Hopkins, holmes, Hearns, ali
