Pacquiao is so deteriorated that you can almost call him a cherrypick at this point, moreso if you consider Floyd ducked him for years when Pac was at his best

however, Floyd still was forced to fight Pacquiao, the cherry wasn't ripe enough for him to pick yet, so you cant call Pac a cherrypick in the proper sense

Pac's still the toughest challenge for Floyd at ww and the match we all wanted to see

so no, Pac's not a cherrypick, but in case Floyd wins, Pac will be a tainted victory for Floyd for waiting for so long with his ducking shenanigans

Yet another great fighter Floyd didn't face until he was washed up

The idea behind the cherrypicking talk is that everyone knows Floyd ducked Pac when they were in their primes. Even the die hard Floyd fans know it inside even if they refuse it for the sake of defending Floyd. Floyd's defence ensures he doesn't receive a lot of punishment that helps with a prolonged career whereas it's not the same with Pac and he did receive punishment through the years. Pac's not shot but he's more past his prime than Floyd is due to his style. Lewis waited for Tyson until Tyson had nothing left, I think everyone agrees that a prime Tyson would destroy Lewis. Floyd wanted to go through that route. But I maintain the idea that he's in for a big surprise come May 2.

pacquaio ducked mosely in 2009, ducked floyd in favor of a clottey fight, fought cotto at a catchweight and fought floyds leftovers so those fights are tainted as well...:hi:

So it's settled. Two months ago people wanted this fight. Fast forward and it's pointless.

was leonard vs hagler prime for prime? no, and nobody cared they just wanted to see the fight... it should be the same thing here, but no... pacturds are scared that their beloved pacquaio is no longer the same that their coming up with bull**** excuses to discredit floyd and cover their asses when the inevitable happens ....pac fans are such an odd bunch of people..:-(

The newer generation of boxing fans are all turds!!:yep

I could not give a flying **** who wins this. It's politics that have mugged REAL boxing fans from getting a definitive fight 5 years ago. This fight will be remembered for the excuses that come out whoever wins. We could start the forum threads now not in 4 weeks.

If fighting the P4P no 1 fighting the no 2/3 is cherrypicking then every fight which has ever happened in the history of boxing is cherrypicking.

    Absolutely ridiculous.
