And dont misunderstand me, I consider Beckam a hell of a football player, but he's not popular for being a football player, but for being handsome and being married to that spice girl singer whose name I never remember. Bottom line is: Both are retired and nobody gives a F about them as active athletes. If David Beckham announced he will play for some football club tomorrow then nobody would care. Just like when Floyd announces his next Japanese circus fight.

If Canelo announces his next fight, that's relevant to boxing fans. Floyd no longer is.
