Is Mayweather-Cotto 2 a Lock for MW Title?

The last big punching southpaw Cotto fought beat him like his daddy..
Cotto knocked out D-Rod, D-Rod isn't even top 10 at 154!
He got schooled by Trout in the fight before at MSG.

Both Pavlik & Chavez are slower than Cotto but they are MUCH bigger, punch harder & have better chins, also Martinez is waaay faster than Cotto himself.

Technically, only because he won't fight GGG. But if Floyd becomes mw champ by fighting Cotto it will be the biggest crock of **** title in boxing history.

basically every top 10 ranked deserves a shot more than cotto, and that includes GGG too, but im ok if rubio gets the shot or any other real mw contender...

Pac vs Marg for the 154 is far worse considering all the circumstances. There would not be any comparison if Cotto convincingly beats Martinez. To say otherwise is to out yourself as either a hater or someone who knows nothing of the sport. By all means though, keep on hating...

Pretty sure TR is just promoting Cotto for this one fight. Wont know if it turns into a long term deal until the Martinez fight details are finalized. I kind of doubt any big contract happens though, Cotto likes to keep his options open.

 

If he does he will look ridiculous and his ducking of Martinez, which up until this point could be written off due to size difference, will become apparent.
