I wish Floyd felt the same way! Like he has for all his other fights. But he seems to have a problem committing to fighting Manny. I don't think that either side is innocent of lying or contradicting their statements. But this is boxing that that is common given that Promoters are like poloticians....they lie.

But if Manny came out and said he was on roids best believe his support would be next to nothing. Sure he'll have a few hard core fans that would stick with him but that is the same for Floyd. Some fans would suport him if he came out saying he was doping...just as there are a few supporting him being on vacation as a reason not to fight Manny.

I mean....it's not out of the question. ANything can happen in this sport but I don't think that is likely. Marg will fight, but how effectively against a guy like PAC or Floyd is the big question. I don't think Marg can beat either guy...both will be dominant in different ways due to the styles but the outcome would be the same. Floyd and Manny come out winners.

You don't think he was hurt? He took a hell of a beating and even though he stayed on his feet most of the time you could tell he was getting hurt....especially in the end where Shane was swinging for the fences and landing flush!:!:

110% agree....Marg is the same Marg that beat the **** out of Cotto. He just lost to Shane which happens. Just b/c Cotto beat Shane and Marg beat Cotto...doesn't mean that Shane was going to lose to Tony based on scientific law. Marg is still a top 147 fighter and still very dangerous for anyone....including Shane, Floyd or PAC! Now.....I think they all beat him but Marg will offer a tough test.

For the record, I don't think Floyd will ever fight above 154. Look at how small he is:

He's nearly the same size as pac, the guy who says 147 is his absolute limit, but just a bit taller.

Why should Floyd have to fight above 154! He's a small guy who has moved up just like Manny. He's got a bigger frame than PAC and his demensions show he's a bigger man, but you're right. Not by much......the reach, height and length of Floyd would be advantages in his favor if he fought Manny...just like it was for his fight with Zab, but this fight with Floyd and Manny is what it is. A fairly EVEN fight across the board. Manny is filling out as a Jr WW and WW. He's probably not a legit WW but Floyd is a small or average sized WW at best.

Which is why we need to see this fight....perfect timing, perfect competitors with regards to their story, personalities and accomplishments and it has the attention of the world.

For the record! I do think Floyd CAN fight above 154 with success but I think that would really be pushing it. 154 for Manny in my opinion is pushing it although I think he can have limited success depending on whom he fights.

Martinez and Paul Williams would be fights that I'd love to see either man take, but I think they lose....
