well, for the almost two years that he retired, boxing was actually doing well with top WW fighting each other and it seems that no one is missing him. but over-all, he is good to generate interest for the sport. he even have let a few WWE fans become boxing fans and most of them have invaded ESB since 2009.

His big events yes... Everything else **** no!

  4. people that barely know anything about boxing talk about pac and floyd....people at work that have no clue and couldnt name another fighter besides bernard or shane.(maybe a klit)......they talk about these two like they even really know whats going on.....while i think thats a shame that they pretend to know whats going on between the two...its good that barely casual fans are talking about the game

floyd has always been a cocky/arrogant guy.....but how he is now is taking it to another level....and it was planned this way by him and haymon.....laughing all the way to the bank....best deal in the game

Keeping it real, yeah, he is. . . I'm not even a fan of him, although I recognize his skillset, and crazy boxing ability, but he is good for the sport. . .

Any boxer who keeps eyes on television sets, and puts asses in seats, even if it's to hopefully see them get that ass taxed, is good for boxing.

    Yes.

Boxing stays afloat from casual fan interest and money, and every generation before has had heavily bankable superstars to lure people in, keep them talking about the sport and upholding it's relevance.

As a fighter, he's one of the most skilled to ever step in the ring and practices the motto he preaches -- you'll never see Floyd out of shape or unprepared and ill-conditioned for a fight. He willingly submits himself to random drug testing, which these days should be something to admire. He's the only guy who could be 34-yrs-old, fighting the #2 rated fighter in the division ten years his junior and be a 6-1 favorite. Speaks volumes about his level as a fighter and the work he puts in to stay at the highest level. He's been fighting top level competition since 1998, and a widespread smear campaign of his legacy isn't changing facts.

For those that don't like his trash talk he said its a persona nothing more nothing less, he's a arrogant douche bag. He said it best when he said " Americans only care about drama and money" which is a true statement villains > heros everyone wants to see the hero win and the villain lose but there's also people who want to see the villain win. If being a twat like mayweather gets you more money why not make that persona I would.

See? This is contradictory. Either he's an arrogant douchebag or it's a persona. He's said himself it's a persona, which in my view at least, makes him worse then a dbag, it makes him faker then pyrite.

I'm sure he's arrogant just not as bad as his persona is, 50 was the same when grodt came out now that his family is set for generations after that crazy vitamin water deal he sat his black ass down and pretty much stfu for the most part.

PBF is overall ok for BUSINESS of boxing but great counter against the current power structure that is based on watered down, corrupt sanctioning bodies and corrupt promoters, thus corrupt judges and broadcasters.

Boxing power and economic structure needs to change. PBF's way is not the answer and will make it not that great either.

But for the SPORT of boxing, like Pac, he is irreplaceable.

Check the numbers. Good for Boxing equals generates revenue from EYEBALLS on the sport. Nobody (currently) does it better. Nobody. So the answer is unequivocally yes.
