No i dont see it. Floyd gave him his due, but the media want to push the narrative that hes somehow envious of what hes accomplished in the sport. What i do disagree with Floyd about tho, is that he beat Canelo in his Prime. Canelo at that time didnt even develop his man strength yet.

Floyd has admitted, on record/on video, that Canelo is the face of boxing. Someone literally asked him in a interview about Floyd still being the face of boxing even retired, and he said verbatim "Canelo is the face of boxing" That doesn't sound like jealousy
Truth is Floyd generated more on PPV this year against a You Tuber in Logan Paul in an exhibition than Canelo did against Caleb Plant for the Undisputed Super Middleweight title. 1 Million PPV buys against 800K PPV buys.

Boxing media rarely asks Mayweather any legit open ended questions and prefers instead to push their agenda and try to put Mayweather in "gotcha" situations. I lost all respect for the boxing media during the mayweather years. I havent seen the interview to which you are referring, but I highly doubt Mayweather is jealous of anyone he dominated in the ring and out earned at the box office. That being said, it is human nature for any top athlete to be somewhat "jealous " of the up and comers once their time has passed. Wouldn't read too much into though.
