Is Mayweather really going to disgrace himself like this?

It is looking more and more likely that Amir Khan is going to duck Devon Alexander after getting approval from Showtime and going straight to a Floyd Mayweather fight in May with Espinoza saying it's the fight he is interested in and Floyd already being involved in discussions.

This is a complete disgrace. Mayweather will be fighting a guy who:

    - Has never fought at 147
    - Has not won a competitive fight against a top opponent for over 2 years.
    - Was knocked out by Danny Garcia and also defeated by the opponent Matthyse wiped out.

What does this say about the criteria for someone being a worthy challenger to Mayweather when the guy who's chosen was not only dropped but went life and death with JULIO DIAZ (the reaction of most would be, who?) in his last fight. Not only that but he'll be choosing him over Garcia, who knocked out Khan in 4 in devastating style and is 27-0.

If Mayweather seriously takes this fight, win or lose he should lose his position as no 1 fighter out there. The other guys out there are taking top fights. Marquez, Garcia, Pacquiao, Bradley are the are all involved in competitive fights.

If Floyd does this just to sell tickets, what is next, taking on movie stars in celebrity matches?, a 3 round fight with ****** beiber is sure to do huge numbers

    I don't mind this fight.

Against the chinny Brit, Mayweather may finally be able to get a KO (without a sucker punch). I like the decisiveness of KOs in fights. Maybe Khan will stop fooling himself and retire after Mayweather knocks him out.

This is how Mayweather is. He says one thing and wants to fool you into believing something else but he has disgraced himself and contradicted his own words many times. Deep down, Mayweather wants this fight and we all know why. Let's not kid ourselves whether you're a ***** or not. It's the least riskiest fight out there with some $ involved and that's where he has cherrypicked around. If this fight happened, it would not surprise me at all.

There's a reason why no one respects him as a person and he has to pay people to play basketball with him.

Floyd ain't gonna make $41 million versus Danny Garcia. so he's kinda painted into a corner. Khan is probably the only 'draw' on GBP that he hasn't beat yet lol.

I don't know. I think that this is a good fight really if it happens soon. Then again they'll probably spend 6 months hyping the fight up and then 6 months hyping his next fight up so if that happens which it will then no.... this fight isn't justifiable.

I have no delusions of Khan winning this fight. However, I am quite interested to see it. I would especially be interested if he fights in Britain and the fight is aired for free on CBS as a sort of special event. It would be like an exhibition bout.

its personal. mayweather wants to shut khans mouth.. this dude been talking bout him fight mayweather forever. all before the garcia fight he was talking how bad he wanted it. then he gets blown outta the water by garcia. khan bored us to death vs molina and looked awful vs diaz.

guys like devon alexander earned this fight also sum one like danny garcia earned this fight.

i kno top rank usually dont do buisness with golden boy but **** if timmy gets by jmm then that fight should be discussed.

    tim bradley
    devon alexander
    danny garcia

all deserve a fight with mayweather over khan.

i think for mayweather he wants to shut khan up and he wants to get a ko for once.

I like Khan . . . he doesn't stand a chance . . . but who does? There is a reason why Pac is going to fight in China and the Kbros do not fight in the states and its called money. Fans fool themselves if they believe fighters fight for the love of the sport or because the are warriors . . . fighters fight to put food on their tables. Right now Floyd has 4 fights left and with limited options (maybe 5-6) so right now he should fight the fighter that makes sense right now, that could be Khan, it could be Garcia, hell it could be Rios.

This is how a ***** defend Floyd. Why is Pac even in this conversation? We're talking about Floyd fighting someone who didn't do sh*t lately. Fùcking challenge someone at the higher weight and make this fight competitive. If Floyd Garcia is a mismatch, and by the way Garcia just sent khan to dreamland, imagine what Floyd would do to him :patsch

Some of you are talking about this fight as if its a done deal. No one has said anything about it and last time Mayweather commented on Khan he said he has to earn his payday and he's not going to get it by talking trash.
