Is Mayweather really going to make the same mistake

Yeah. Now fighters think they can knock him out... going in thinking that is honestly a trap because sure, maybe there are some fighters with the power to knock him out, but Mayweather is not one of them.

And to the person who started this thread, Max Kellerman said the SAME thing. Fighters now think they can catch Pacquiao and that's their gameplan... it's a stupid one though.

 

Why would Floyd fight in that manner?

Pacman's style is perfect for a counterpuncher, if a KD/KO occurs on manny it'll be from him rushing in on Floyd, not Floyd cutting the ring off on him and attempting to knock him out inside the pocket.

He's not fighting at 130-135 lbs anymore. He's a lot more cautious/judicious with how he approaches aggressive, come-forward styled fighters.

 

You'll see far more left hooks from Floyd than you will anything else.

He won't try to knock Manny out, he'll just completely outclass him and finally close the book on the "argument" about who is the best.
Only one winner here.

 

I think Mayweather will box like he always does with slight variations based on his opponent. He's not going to change his DNA for Pacquiao.

he's fight mayweather. look for floyd to be floyd in this fight, right hand leads to the head and belly. also jabs up and down and left hooks to body and head. its gone be a good fight cause once he lands on pacman its on now. pacman like to punch his gloves together and bang when he gets hit clean.
