Yes, he is too big to lose.

If Marquez were fighting someone who wasn't supremely skilled at that weight, someone who was around the same size as Floyd, like Zab Judah, then no, the size difference would probably not be too big. JMM is a genius after all. However, Floyd is a superb fighter and he has the advantage of being accustomed to fighting at that weight and higher. Put those two factors together, and Floyd has put himself in an unassailable position for victory - barring a ring-rust induced miracle.

You and Relentless are the only ones concerned about ***** sizes. It's pretty obvious why this is so.

No. However, I don't expect much difference in the measurements considering Floyd is smaller than your typical Welterweight. Floyd is definately bigger, but not by much. I would bet that the measurements between Hopkins and Tarver were pretty similar when Hopkins jumped 2 classes to fight him.

Not really. He's following his footstepps by making smaller fighters come out of their comfort zones. He could make 140lbs and it would be a more fair fight. Just like Hopkins could have fought Wright and Pavlik at lower weights but didn't. Marquez, in reality, is not that much smaller then Floyd though.

floyd is too big. Marquez looked small against the lightweights he's going look tiny in the ring on July 18. He is a great fighter so if he can beat the younger, faster, stronger, BIGGER mayweather I think he earns a shot at PAC

LHW was more natural to Hopkins than 140+ is for Marquez though. B-Hop fought at lhw and above in his pre world title days, and he always had the frame for lhw. IMO Marquez's ceiling is 135, I think he would be small even at lww. It was clear he had a naturally smaller frame than Juan Diaz in their fight. JMO.

That's what I'm looking forward to. How will Marquez carry the weight, the size difference won't be a huge factor in my opinion and it's nothing like people try to make it be, don't expect Mayweather to look like DLH when he stepped in against Pacquiao and it's not even close to that.
