He got a friend of mine in trouble with the state commission in Oklahoma. Floyd Sr was training a guy- his name escapes me- from OKC, and he was fighting in town. My friend is very good at wrapping hands and we'll known in the OKC boxing community; he often wraps and gloves up just about every fighter on a card. He wrapped and gloved up the fighter, then Floyd went and stripped the gloves; pulled the padding back and wrapped it with tape to hold it. That is illegal in Oklahoma and he blamed it on my friend. Or so the story was told.
