Is Mayweather Still The Lineal Champion At 147?

    Or did his retirement and layoffs nullify it? I know he hasnt lost there so im guessing he still is or was a new lineage created between his retirement and today?

    Naah. He can beat Pac I think, but until and unless they fight, Pac is the closest thing to lineal champ at welter.

    He keeps getting the lineal championship, and then loses it by retiring for over a year

    Currently he is not. Previously he was by beating Mosley

    If its by that standard then its Floyd. But like megavolt says it confused me with the retirements and layoffs.

    maybe undisputed or unified or any of those require mandatories and time frames, not lineage.

    It's confusing. He was the lineal champ after beating Baldo, but then retired. Some say lineage was reestablished when Mago beat Cotto. Mosley then beat Margo, then Mayweather beat Mosley. So he really has two claims to the lineal title.

    Okay let me see here.

    Title passed from Zab to Baldo to Mayweather, who retired, then was won by Margarito when he beat Cotto(1 vs 2) who lost it to Mosley who lost it to Mayweather... who was gone for 16 months... So its either him or nobody.
