You're missing the point. The thread is asking about who is the best SFW ever.

Well if you're able to carry your ability to higher weight classes then why should the 4 pounds matter?

All this weight class junk is BS anyways. We don't need the 17 weight classes.

Oscar also took on 5 prime ATG's. Trinidad, Mosley, Pacquiao, Floyd and Hopkins.

I'd say Arguello, Mayweather, Chavez Jr, and Nelson head the list, followed by Mitchell and Kid Chocolate.

Henry Armstrong's probably the best 130lb fighter of all time, but never actually fought in an established 130lb division.

And lost to all 5 that's why he's not a top 15 ATG and his loses are held against him.:deal

Exactly. Just because someone isn't fighting at 130 doesn't mean they couldn't make the limit and beat all comers at the weight.

Agreed his losses to all the great fighters affect his legacy/resume.

But so does facing ZERO PRIME ATG's..............

Mayweather is the best super featherweight on a boxing ability basis maybe, but in terms of greatness? I don't think so.
Not having decent opposition is without a doubt going to affect your greatness, and that's not Mayweather's fault as he took on everybody in his 130lbs reign.

Morales in my opinion as a SFW is GREATER.

My line of thinking is as follows -
To achieve a win against an ATG like Pacquiao of 130lbs is a massive achievement, a great achievement. It trumps beating two very good fighters as there's just a class difference between a finesse ATG and a very good but not even HOF level opponent.

W Pacquiao > Corrales, Augustus, Rios
W Barrera > Gerena, Manfredy, Genaro
    W Espadas Jr > Vargas
    W Chavez = Chavez
    W Hernandez = Hernandez
L Barrera x 2 (razor close decisions, virtually even as fighters even if awarded losses - view them as losses but realise the manner of the loss - this is important when judging overall greatness)
L Pacquiao x 2 (Morales was past prime in the second fight, and completely shot in the third fight) - I don't hold those losses against him.

    But seriously.
    Pep
    Armstrong
    Attell
    Saddler
    Sanchez (Salvadori)
    Terry McGovern
    Arguello
    Kilbane
    Canzoneri
Kid Chocolate (not the one who prays to a god name Haymon and who has to change his nappy everytime someone mentions Golovkin's name in his presence)

are all super featherweights who I would take to paddle Floyd's ass rose red. :deal

I agree with everything you said with the exception of where you disagreed with me. So I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree instead of getting into a debate about it. lol
