The way Mayweather just schooled Marquez (considered p4p no.2 at the time) was just something else, he made Marquez look like a silly kid. Money's finest performance for me!

Marquez was past his best and a lot smaller than Money.

He was coming off 2 good vicories.

And the weight is not an issue but merely an excues; it's been proven that if you're good enough you're big enough, it was a simple matter of Mayweather been just so good!

I would say it was quite an issue for Marquez, he bulked up to much muscle, he lost a lot of speed and wasn't as quick with his counters as usual. Not saying it would have made any difference to the result but it did to his performance

Did you actually watch the fight? And since when was it proven that weight is not an issue? :huh Why doesn't Mayweather fight someone much bigger then..

I prefer Morales, for me he is the greater fighter on the card.

Yes of course I did...... I din't say weight wasnt an issue, I'm saying that the effect was very minuscule.

Weight is only an issue to an extent i.e Look at Tyson fighting bigger guys his entire career.

I'm saying it's an excuse that is thrown round just for the hell of it; when Alvarez beat Hatton the same excuse was used (rather than giving Alvarez his dues, but then Alvarez gave an even bigger beat down on Rhodes who was considered better than Hatton and was in his weight division.... Now if Rhodes was stepping up to fight Alvarez you just know the weight excuse would have been thrown around rather than giving the Alvarez his dues.

Normally I'd agree with you but the size difference in that fight was a big factor. Every time Marquez hit him, Floyd just stepped back and laughed at him.
