Is Mayweather the highest paid athelete in any sport?

    He's made $70 million in his last 2 fights, ($40 Mosley, $30 Marquez) in the space of 8 months, I doubt it any other athelete in any sport has made that much in the last 8 months, and if he fights Pac later this year for another $50 million that would be $120 million in just over a year, really can't think of anyone earning more.

    Maybe not anymore, but i'm pretty sure he use to.

    even if he is in terms of gross he loses out to someone like lewis hamilton i imagine in the net given the tax situation

    Now that Tiger woods has lost his endorsements. Likely he is the highest paid guy. In terms of just gross salary from sport, disregarding endorsements I would say he definitely is the highest paid guy in sports this year with an even bigger fight looming with Manny.

    Yeah if he fights Pacquaio end of the year and bags another $40 million, thats total $110 million in like 12-14 months.

    If he fights Pac, he will definitely be the world's top earner in 2010. No question with Tiger's endorsement drops.
