doesnt HBO get all of that mostly, they own the rights so they sell them on internationally and make some money back, I imagine cctv is the same as well also dont forget the exopenses of the campsa and all that staff and flying them around everywhere and ptivate planes and huge tour buses etc etc

Naw, hbo doesn't make all that much off ppv. It's indemand and the satellites that take close to 50% off the ppv revenue.

No. HBO splits the ppv money and maybe the cctv sales as well(although I'm not sure). I don't think HBO gets any international money. They don't distribute it internationally. The site fiee, live gate, and sponsorship money all go to the promoters. HBO generally likes to have these fights on regular HBO as they make more money off of them that way.

2 words: Lionel Messi. 30 million pounds earned in a year when the exchange rate was 2 dollars to a pound - he's paid in dollars so $60 million that year and he get's percentage payrises + image rights etc. He's gonna be surpassed by the salary Cristiano Ronaldo gets soon though, within 2 years his basic pay package is going to rise from $20 million a year to $50 million a year. His sponsorships etc currently level at about $20 million a year but his stars still growing and his club (who take a percentage of his sponsorship money before he gets left with $20 million a year for it) say that they expect it to double within 12-18 months. $90 million a year.

where is fernando alonso on this list, he has been a top driver in F1 for years now.

I know all the F1 stars have residency in Switzerland or Monaco and great accountants but I suspect this guy earned atleast 40 million last year.

He is now the Ferrari poster boy and their greatest hope of getting an F1 Title....

I have great respect for his accountant in this.

The exchange rate between the pound and the dollar is a little over 1.4 to 1

If you count Endorsements, appearance fees (Tiger gets paid just to show up to a tournament) and actual salary from Tournament winnings - Tiger is the highest paid athlete by Far.

Mayweather is no where close in regards to total earning compared to other athletes like Tiger, Federer, F1 racers, soccer players, etc.

Yes, he makes more in regards to his fight salary, but these athletes have much more profitable endorsements and merchandising deals.

Let me put it this way, PBF endorses Reebok. What Reebok gear does he sell?

Golf, Tennis, NFL, NBA, F1 races are not only endorsed by Nike and bigger companies but they actually have products that costs hundred even thousands of dollars compared to a niche product like boxing shoes.

If he fights Pac this year, he can make top 10 I think. For the Mosley fight his cut is supposed to be only for the 200K+ PPV buys since HBO's minimum is 1.2Mil. He only gets a fraction of that because he splits it with Mosley, GBP and HBO. If he gets a third of that, 4 million, I suspect he earned around 30+ mill. For Pac, if you double that he is around 90 mill.

that is a big IF. The top 10 athletes of last year all earned more than 30 million.
