Is Mayweather the perfect fighter?

There can't be many who are closer technically I don't think but he's not perfect. Power is fairly average for one thing.

 

Possible Mayweather weaknesses
- Gets hit with fighters with good jabs
- Starts a little slow (gives away maybe the first 3 rounds)
- Sometimes not enough action from him as he tends to be very defensive
- Has a questionable chin (although we might never know because of his great defense)

 

Agreed but you need to nitpick a bit to answer the question of whether or not he's the perfect fighter

No such thing as a perfect fighter but even though I hate Floyd because he's a complete dick (or just acts like one) you can't really take too much away from him. He makes good fighters look **** at times, has great timing and good speed but his great defense I think protects an 'average' chin.

 

He has average power, a low workrate and doesnt use any combinations. His overall offence is far from perfect - it's merely above average. How can he be the perfect fighter if SRL has all of Floyd's strength's, along with power, high workrate, and tremendous combinations.

I dont see any areas in his fight game where hes lacking. not perfect. but close to it.

if I was a mad scientist building a boxing android. and i could have 1 boxers entire skillset. it would be his.

 

Most complete boxer in the game today. Can fight at all ranges with ATG defense and an ATG ring IQ with great stamina. Can also throw pretty much every punch in the book.

 

talk about hating. you're comparing a 36 year old fighter to a prime SRL. A prime PBF threw amazing combinations.

i love SRL. but his drug abuse messed up his body. he didnt have a lot of the skills floyd has

 

Theres no such thing as the perfect fighter, the closest thing to it was Ray Robinson but even he wasnt perfect and neither is Floyd but hes the best today.

 

You aren't being very objective. You said perfect fighter and someone points out lack of power. You can't ask a question, have someone point out a flaw, then get pissed.
