Just a thought really, would pac of fought these guys if mayweather hadnt? we all know about marquez, but in this case did floyd beat him so one sidedly that pac thought he had to prove to everyone that he could dominate jmm like floyd did?
Please no ******* or ***** references please. Serious question.

I didnt add him because he was already a huge name in boxing, before mayweather, hatton hadnt really had big name fights, mosely was already considered too old, marquez more or less the same. I think that both mosely and hatton wouldnt have fought pac if they hadnt of fought mayweather.

I think Manny fought them for the same reasons Floyd fought them, not because Floyd fought them. Hatton and Mosley were big names and would sell PPVS. And the Marquez rematch was obviously in demand.

Hatton wasnt that big tbh, and mosely was a big name, but considered to be passed it.

    Oscar "I'm retired"
    Hatton "I'm retired"
Cotto "I didn't pay step aside money to JMM to fight Pac"
Clottey "Pacquiao didn't agree to olympic style testing"
Margarito "Pacquiao didn't agree to olympic style testing again"
    Mosley "I'm on Vacation"
JMM "I've got a fight with Victor Ortiz"
Bradley "40 million and no ppv"

Um, boxing is a business first sport. De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, and Mosley are all big names. Clottey, whilst unknown, is still more famous than Mike Jones, Selcuk Aydin, Senchenko, etc.. Marquez is a big name, but not exactly a box office draw, so he came last. Since Floyd won't step up to the plate, it's Bradley now, who is the next most famous. Well, there's Amore Khan, but that fight won't happen. Bradley has zero drawing power, but his 0, being young and in his prime, and African American-ness will hold weight.

Definitely Marquez 3, Manny only fought JMM a 3rd time because they felt he had declined, and they wanted to one up Floyd, to give Manny a mental edge for the potential big showdown. I don't think team Manny ever came to terms with how easy Mayweather dominated Marquez which is the main reason the May vs Manny fight didn't happen yet, people in Manny's team went as far to say they would KO JMM by round 4, they disregarded Marquez because Mayweather toyed with him, they didn't truly grasp that Mayweather was in a different stratosphere from 2 fighters, and after the JMM 3 fight Manny got the fear of God beat into him

I dont dispute that, but then did Bob arum recognise because mosely and hatton had previously fought mayweather that there was money to be made because people want to watch how pac does with mayweathers previous oponents. Or is there no logic to that?

Hutton was massive. He was guaranteed to sell 1 millions plus ppvs, which Manny was entitled to half off. Plus he was the man at 140

There's no logic to that. Oscar's just a big time name. Plus Oscar called out Pac. Hatton was the lineal @ 140 and a global draw. Plus the styles guaranteed fireworks, albeit Pac blasted him out early. Floyd never fought Cotto, Margarito, or Clottey. And Pac never fought Judah.

Yes...Pac fought JMM At WW so he could outdo Floyd...but they arent going anywhere near Ortiz, until he loses to Berto perhaps

Remember he fought Mosley and Margarito cuz "Berto is a small draw, and we wont fight Marquez, until he ages more on his layoff"
