Yeah, he underestimates Shane that's why he was so eager to sign the fight.

The guy's always a *****, but this time, he hides his fears behind his acts.

Shane will be near 40 and coming off of a 16-month layoff, fighting Mayweather.... he's not gonna win.

Floyd is just acting a ****- but he takes every fight seriously and fears losing more than anything. in fact the reason he acts a **** i believe is so that he HAS to work hard to back it up - sort of like when you say to yourself and eveyrone youre going to do something before you ve done it. its a boast- yes- but also a way of ensuring you dont let yourself off the hook too.

Floyds personality outside the ring is nothing like his working persona and boxing persona- he fears losing lke every man- he has doubts- and he s very very wary and cautious- the way he fights reflects that. as he says- boxing is like being a cop- it only takes one shot to end a career. he didnt get this far by being careless. dont let his personality fool you.

To that effect- in many ways- each man is the contrast of what they are in the ring- to how they behave in the ring. Floyd does just enough- is very conservative- yet outside the ring....well we alll know what he s like outside the ring. Shane- he s the most gentlemanly guy outside- but in the ring- he s a straight up macho , man e mano fighter- he personifies the macho fighter.

so dont let their personas outside fool you. too many boxers have fallen for this trap when fighting floyd. trying to engage in his antics only makes people act out of their comfort zone- and hence be flustered, get upset, etc. we all saw how tense oscar was, how agro hatton got- and how straight up angry gatti got. it all hurt their gameplans.

it would take a cool head to take down floyd. another reason why i think pac would be the perfect foil- hes too cool for school . the man smiles on the way to an assault.

i thought at first when this fight was made, that shane would whoop that arse, but now that i ve seen 24/7- and how tense shane is, he seems , i dunno , a little shot, and floyd- jsut seems as sharp as ever. i m getting a gut feeling that floyds gonna put on a masterclass.

if i had to bet- i d hedge them, floyd by decision and mosley by stoppage. i cant see shane outboxing floyd

  12. yea you need all of that energy to be a ***** envying hater. Man go kill yourself and do everyone a favor.

    The point?

Go to a boxing gym Luke. Go for a month. Practice offense. Then practice being a counter puncher. Then you will understand. Until then...

You're acting like I don't give floyd credit for his boxing.

I just hate his fans pretending he is the greatest thing ever.

Nobody can ever say anyone was "the greatest thing ever", but come on man. Mayweather as a pure boxer is pretty damned far up the food chain.

Honestly, I have never seen a thread about Mayweather saying he is the best ever.
