There was me thinking Moore ad Charles knocked out the likes of Valdez, Satterfield and most of the other Heavyweight contenders from their prime, I musta mixed my skunk up with crack.

These were Elite operators. It is clear to see, from the footage.

If you're such a fan of Moore you'd know better thanto discount him because of his years. It was in his latter years that he really hit his prime, it was due to his experience that he could decimate bigger men. And he had Marciano over.

But not because he was arguably the greatest P4P puncher of all time?

Big puncher for sure, tough as old boots abso****inglutely, then tell me o patronising 1 what the hell did he ever do at heavyweight?? Greatest light-heavy of all time, but aside from getting stopped by Rock, Patterson and Ali what he do?? Remember he werent no smaller than Patterson.

Point was Mayweather faced prime world champions, Marciano didnt therefore on your own rules his records still better

Read through my posts. I'm as anti-Boxrec as you'll get.

Corrales: Weight problems. Going through strife outside the ring for domestic abuse. Not an ATG.

Judah: Put Floyd on his arse. Sparked at 140 by Tszyu. Largely uninspiring fight.

Baldomir: Couldnt punch. Had about 10 losses prior. About 102 years old.

See, this is what you're doing. The facts are there, you've already claimed that Moore is a favourite of yours, why are you denying the truths of his ring record?

Fact of the matter is, yes, both Floyd and Marcianos opponents can have excuses made for them.

One of them faced bona fide ATG's. They were still formidable (bar Louis, but I've already said that)

    The other didn't.

I think people are just conditioned to think Floyd-style athletes are always superior. Take Zab Judah for example; people are always willing to give that guy another chance because he is what people associate with being a skillful athlete - in spite of his numerous failings.

Pac does going forward what Floyd does going backwards.

Exactly. Dick Tiger for example, is a better fighter than Floyd Mayweather. He applied his skillset to it's absolute best against some great opponents.

Oh, damn no he's ****, he doesn't implement the shoulder roll or
    do fast pad work :deal

Chad Dawson is another fighter who people will fight to the death for.

Oh, yeah, and didn't Marciano fight in the day of one World title? What an amazing achievment.

Nah, I'm just talking about on pitch/in the ring. Mourinho's an infinitely more classy and charismatic guy than Floyd could ever dream of being.:good

Yup, he can't go on vacation when he has to man up and face Barcelona. Doesn't duck interviews either!

I didnt say boxrec you did :nono Talking about people being sparked, how many times had the 3 fighters youre using as the basis of your argument (and dislike of Mayweather of course) been stopped prior to Marciano.

You see yourself, dan-b and others put so much on who people fight ie NAMES not relevent wins and in your case only apply the oppositions shall we say 'issues' when it suits.

Usual argument with Corrales, look at him fight night though he'd re-hydrated perfectly fine and got beat in a Floyd counter-punch masterclass. Castillos HoF bound, so's JMM, Oscar first ballot and probably Shane too. You want names flea well tere you go, but you only pick at them names when it suits

Face it Floyd makes good fighters look ordinary EVERY fight, not just a fighter making better fighters look ordinary once or twice EVERY fight. Thats why some of your chosen fighters from the other thread with better legacies than floyd aint in the match-up the world wants and boxing needs
