Is Mayweather's chin currently as untested as Roy's once was?

Watch Floyd's fight with Jesus Chavez and also Emmanuel Augustus. And the Corley fight was a war for the first 5 rounds.

PBF's chin is fine. Just another way for PBF haters to have some false hope in this fight.:deal

Is he losing 15 pounds of muscle suddenly? lol Floyd has an excellent chin and he's much better on defense that Roy ever was. Roy relied on his athletic ability. Floyd uses his, but is also a far superior fighter technically. What if he didn't have a good chin? How many times could Pacquiao make a solid connect anyway? Not very many!

Roy WAS hit flush numerous times in his prime but was never even wobbled. How you explain that?

I agree FMW has a pretty good beard. He was down before though, a flash KD that is when Judah caught him with a right hook.

So true, but I think his body finally caught up with him when he went to the HW and back down at light HW.

His glove grazed the canvas. Most fighter's couldn't have kept their balance. Wasn't really hurt or anything.

Mayweather's chin has never been tested like Margarito's but he HAS taken some flush shots and come out fine if not a little surprised and taken aback.

Actually no. Roy was knocked down against Lou Del Valle.

I think it was a temple shot.

I think he has a softspot on his head and if you hit him in that one spot he goes down.

Floyd's chin haven't been proven one way or the other, so gotta say untested. But there is a huge difference between Floyd and Roy, Roy never had any real technical defense he mostly relied on his speed and reflex to avoid hits so when that was deminished it became his downfall.

Floyd have excellent technical defense, so like Hopkins their chins wouldn't easily be tested even when heading toward old age. Floyd moves with his opponent's punches so either he completely avoids it or even if he is hit, he wouldn't absorb the full blow by flowing with the momentum of the shots.

Floyds has taken good shots from solid punchers. His ability to take those kind of shots will leave once his reflexes go. We all know the punches you dont see are the main reason people get konck you out (thats why sometimes you can see morons like mayorga put his hands down and take clean shots cause he knows there coming). Roy jones wasnt the same roy jones when he fought tarver, got caught with a shot he didnt see and went down. Only thing that can stop Floyd is father time. Solid chin hes proven that and even better defense

True, he also got hit flush against JMM and smiled right back at him and then soon after knocking him down. I generally think Mayweather has a strong chin and because he hasn't been through hell and back over his career his punch resistance will be solid.
