I mean, practically no one picked Hatton to win. It was a great knockout and everything, but it's not like the fight was a real pick 'em affair, contrary to what HBO has led us to believe.

Nobody picked hatton? ALOT of people were picking Hatton. On these forums especially. Supposedly Hatton was supposed to give Mayweather the most trouble he has ever faced because of his non stop pressure and body punching and nobody thought he'd get knocked silly or even stopped

no because of the way he won.

he knocked out Hatton when everyone said that he was going to run to a decision. Floyd deserves all the credit he's getting.

Beating Hatton was a foregone conclusion, Hatton does not have the style to beat Floyd. What was impessive about the fight was the way he beat Hatton. He beat him on the inside, roughed Hatton up, killed him with body shots, and eventually KO'd him. Let's not forget that Hatton was a topp 10 p4p fighter going into this fight and Mayweather made him look like an amateur. That's impressive.

Well done floyd great win over hatton. I have to Hold my hands up and I thought hatton was going to do it. I just hope this beating would not let hatton go back down to 140 and take on Junior witter or mallinaggi.

who cares it was good for the sport and Hatton was a good undefeated fighter.

but again if he had fought Cotto, shane he would still be favored and if Floyd goes on to beat those guy would Floyd's win still be considered over rated.

Hopkins, Hearns, Leonard, Tszyu, etc......all picked Hatton to win.

    Also, look at the odds.

not really..floyd faced a young, hungry and prime determined top 10 P4P fighter and took care of business.

there are some dumbasses though that aren't being very fair here. they said a whole bunch of **** about hatton before the fight yet they want mayweather to get all credit after he won...at least there are some people saying "there's no shame in losing to the best, hatton is a very good fighter..he just fought a better man"

Exactly. This is what people don't get. Mayweather not only outclassed Hatton, as expected - he knocked him out in devastating fashion. And it's not like Hatton was some glass-jawed joke either - he's a top level world class fighter with a decent chin, who's in the prime of his career!!

Of course Mayweather's getting a lot of credit for this win - he SHOULD!! :nod

    Overrated??? What are you smoking?

Every American thought this would be the toughest test of PBF's career, and every Brit thought that Hatton would expose "Mayrunner".

What happened was a superior technical fighter showed his toughness and ability to make an exciting fight, take some chances, and put on a show against a TOP-NOTCH opponent...

I never liked PBF. But, I respect him as a fighter, and would never look to diminish his accomplishment. If he chooses to retire, take his money, and go spend time with his kids, that's his business. He still accomplished a great deal, and will go down as a great fighter.
