Is Mayweather's win over Hatton being overrated?

    You always need to take who the former fighters pick with a grain of salt. It's all politics.

    I go by who the writers choose. And from what I heard, there wasn't a single writer who picked Hatton to win outright.

    So is Manny Pacquiao JMM and Israel Vasquez. and i can assure you Mayweather would knock their asses out. Not because he is so awesome but because of the size difference.

    FOR GODS SAKE HATTON WEIGHED IN AT 145 LBS!!!!

    Now you're comparing Hatton to SFW's and JFW's. I can only assume that you're just a bitter Hatton fan. Otherwise, you must not be too bright. I can pretty much guarentee you that Hatton outweighed Mayweather on fight night. Regardless, weight is not what lost Hatton this fight, it was the fact that he went in against a much better fighter. Mayweather weighed in at 150 for a 154 lb. fight against DLH and still won. Skills win fights, not size. Mayweather is simply just a better fighter than Hatton.

    Difference is if you would have polled fans before Tito/Hopkins, most would've picked Tito. If you would have polled fans before Jones/Toney, it would've been around 50/50.

    Mayweather/Hatton might've been 90/10 in favor of Mayweather.

    Mayweather would be 75/25 or more for anyone, though. So I don't think that's very fair to him. He's a victim of his own brilliance in a way.

    Not many, and for that Mayweather should be commended. But my point is that how great can a victory be if nobody picked the other guy to win at all?

    well everyone starts this myth about pbf not liking pressure fighters and saying that hatton had the style to beat him, boxer always beats the brawlers.conventional boxing wisdom and knowlege should tell you that.

    hatton was or is top 10 p4p
    undefeated
    and how a style to trouble pbf so they say, so for what its worth its a great win.

    im more impressed with the oscar win then this one but they oscar was old and slow so what ever, it is what it is.

    good win but at the end of the day mayweather was suppose to win the fight.oscar and shane and bhop kissing ass saying hatton was to win and all that 24/7 thats gets people hyped and betting with there hearts instead of there heads.

    good win for pbf.
